A Bad experience with JW is a permit for SIN?

i've been reading some sad experinces here... i dont see anyone talking about the bible... only how misserables the organization made their lives... ok ...so because of that...now i have permission to smoke marijuana and commit fornication?

this sounds pretty much like aa... and everybody having his/her personal "superior power" who is giving them the permit to do whatever they want...

i've been df for 4 years now and also dont agree with some jw teachings... why instead of blaming the wt for everything dont we look for the real truth in the bible and make things right.

Hey El Mariachi. You're ASSUMING your personal code of ethics and morals are som,e sort of Universal Standard. My first suggestion would be to take one single solitary college course in Sociology, get to know and understand human societies better and how such codes of conduct arise. Also, how they differ from place to place and especially throughout time, always mutating, changing. Perspective.

I find it amusing that humans have made a natural growing plant, marijuana, illegal. What will be made illegal next? Sunshine?

i was going through some awful stuff and dropped by his mobile home for spiritual counsel and a listening ear.

he answered the door in skivvies and a t-shirt.

my friend whos faded and i were talking and he said an uncle of his whos a witness told him a story about a bunch of witnesses getting on a boat a long time ago because they believed armegeddon was coming, and when it didn't come they came back ashore.

does anybody here know anything about this????

Yes, this story is true, and I am reproducing herein the transcript of the interviews conducted with these JWs:

"Good evening folks, this is Jake Spitzer with WALK in Pacific Palisades. Tonight we're interviewing a group of Jehovah's Witnesses who are about to embark on an Ark. He answered the door in skivvies and a t-shirt. Not a good sign. Anyway, as the discussion continued he kept hinting around and then finally came right out and wanted me to sodomize him and vice-versa. I actually wondered, briefly, if I was awake. I blew a gasket because I'm not gay and I was desperately in love at that time. I got up and left. That was almost The End of my JW involvement. I never told anyone but my family, but I did write about it in my second book, I Was A Teenage Jehovah's Witness. I almost used his actual name in the book. Almost, but not quite. He's dead now but his JW family would probably sue me for libel. MM

Hi Moshe. Yeah, no way you can be a fundie and embrace science completely. But, one can be a Christian and do so. Just depends on how you view "God" and the Bible. No, we need no savior. Christ was a Teacher, a Revealer, a Buddha. A spiritual Master. Check out the Gospel Of Thomas. MM

Hi JG. Your answers were very unpredictable, which is very enjoyable! I too was baptized using both forumlas for the same reasons. I too agree with Preterism, as I dont believe in prophecy. Ditto on the M & M's.
